Among the least emphasized and sorely neglected skill areas plaguing higher education and organizational training is that known as creative and technical writing. While there is little debate regarding the importance of communication skills in general as the foundation for virtually all professions and social interactions, its development remains an enigmatic at best. What do you believe to be factors that contribute to this apparent reality? In effect, virtually all higher education course and organizational training programs and curricula offer golden opportunities for students to acquire and advance skills associated with creative and technical writing. To what extent are you committed to the development and/or advancement of creative and technical writing of your students and trainees; and to what extent do you incorporate technical and creative writing instruction and activities In your course goals and experiences?
